Position 112016: Laboratory System Application Systems Analyst/Programmer
Work at the highest technical level in all phases of customer analysis, applications systems design and programming activities. Formulate and define system scope and objectives on small to mid-size projects. Devise or modify processes to solve problems, considering Cooperative enterprise architecture, application interfaces, technical capacity and desired result. Perform business and functionality analysis and prepare detailed specifications, from which programs will be written or modified, and design, code, test, debug and document those programs. Provide guidance and training to less experienced analyst/programmers.
Education
Minimum Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Training and demonstrated experience in specific programming languages, tools, systems analysis and design techniques and project management methodology.
Knowledge/Skills
Minimum Knowledge/Skills Requirements
Knowledge of the PICK database environments, specifically Rocket (UniVerse) U2, and the HL7 messaging standard used in a variety of Group Health laboratory applications. U2 internals and experience with host to host and laboratory instrument interfaces is preferable.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills
Rocket (UniVerse) U2, Microsoft SQL, Cache, TCP/IP Socket and Serial communications protocols. HL7 and ASTM messaging standards strongly recommended. Experience in use of ICD-9, CPT-4, LOINC codes sets is desirable.
Experience
Minimum Experience Requirements
5 year's experience developing and maintaining PICK variant software.
Preferred Experience
10 years Programming, developing and maintaining PICK variant software.
